| 3 Appliqué Quilt Projects Artist Brenda Brenda is a new quilter. She thought quilting would be hard, but once she tried it she was hooked. She loves to appliqué, finds it fun, and not hard to do. There is no ignoring the theme of this quilt! It is adorable. The wonderful cat shapes give a lot of movement to the quilt. Notice how the tail of one of the cats hangs down into the border. Brenda even added some embroidery to the project. This is an inspiring quilt for one and all.
Artist Ruth Here is another project with appliqué, but this time only in the corners. The rest of the wall hanging is made up of squares. The design and colors in this quilt are almost whimsical. It has a country feeling. Notice how the border fabric is the same fabric used in the body of the quilt. This gives a feeling of harmony to the little quilt and keeps the emphasis on the beautiful appliqué. Again, this would be a great project for a beginner.
Artist Theresa Isn't this absolutely adorable? What a piece of art. It has been embellished to be even cuter than the original pattern. In some ways it is very simple, but the emotions that you feel when you look at it are so strong that is it a powerful piece. That is the sign of a truly great art piece.
